In the years since Lindon left Sacred Valley, he has attained power beyond anything his family thought possible. Now he’ll have to put those powers to the test, because a Dreadgod is on its way. Lindon and his allies set out to evacuate the valley before the arrival of the Wandering Titan, but their sacred arts are weakened by an ancient curse. They’ll have to persuade the squabbling inhabitants of Sacred Valley to leave behind their home and set off into the outside world. But it has been a long time since Lindon left, and more has changed than he realized.

With winter settling over the land, now is the time to warm the hearth and spend time with family. However, the duties of a champion never truly end to his people. Especially since now is the time to get to know his newest companion better as Samira happily burrows her way into everyone’s hearts with a smile.

A town rescued from its fate. Duty is done and his home is now safe from the threat of the Crooked. Koda Burke was ready for a rest from the breakneck pace he’d endured since arriving on this new world. He’d fought, bled, and killed for the people of Amberpost, and been sent on his way with a pat on the head and a bag of coins by the town council. But at least people escaped the gruesome fate waiting at the hands of the Crooked. That was a good reward at least, right?

Keeping his head up and moving forward was what Koda Burke was best at. After having to emancipate himself as a teen and find his own way at a young age, it became part of who he was. The most important part, or so he thought. Until that the faithful day that chance aligned with fate, and his true worth lay revealed when he met with a dying goddess, someone who had lost hope and all but given up until she felt the call from across the void between dimensions.

Drawn to another world at the behest of a goddess without hope, thrown into conflict to protect a people on the brink of destruction, and drawn into a conflict millennia old, Koda Burke should have been upset at the very least. But in exchange for answering the desperate pleas of Thera Ivorycrown, Koda has been given everything that he had wanted in his previous life and more. A people to call his own, a place to belong, and a purpose in his life.
