The territory of Veelox has achieved perfect harmony. Fifteen-year-old Bobby Pendragon arrives on this territory in pursuit of the evil Saint Dane, but all is peaceful on Veelox - because it's deserted. The inhabitants have discovered a way to enter their own personal dream worlds, where they can be whomever they want, wherever they want. Their bodies lie in stasis while their minds escape to the dream realm.

Suzy and the Bug is the story of Aryanna, also known as Bug by her parents, and her cat, Suzy. When the two go to the local park one day, it is to sit and read their favorite book, The Wizard of the Oz. But when they fall asleep, the two wake up to find that they have entered Oz themselves. As they approach the Emerald City and speak with the Lion, Tin Man, and the Scarecrow, they discover that all is not well and that Oz is facing dark and perilous times.

Aryanna is an 8-year-old girl, named Bug by her parents as she had been born in the month of June when June bugs were common. Her best friend in the whole world is her cat Suzy, who goes almost everywhere with her. Their first adventure was in the land of Oz and even though it was a perilous adventure, they enjoyed it. So they decided to try again this time in Scotland at the Loch Ness lake and meet Nessie, who the townspeople are trying to kill. Suzy and the Bug decide to help her and the adventure begins.

Así empieza este apasionante relato en que el protagonista, mister Legrand, encuentra un escarabajo de color dorado. A partir de ese momento se comportará de una manera extraña, lo que hace pensar a los que le rodean, que se está volviendo loco.
