The Land Called Love is a journey into the heart’s most enchanting landscape. These poems explore longing, connection, joy, and the quiet ache that gives love its depth. In this chapter, love becomes a place we enter, lose, rediscover, and grow within. A realm where every emotion leaves a footprint on the soul.

Story0
My mother passed unexpectedly in 2016. She was brilliant and hysterically funny but also suffered a lot. In A Woman Called Mother, I share the stories and scenes I collected from our time together, and also the stories and scenes I’ve been collecting from my present perspective since becoming a mother myself. I’m taking a break from posting because I’m working on finishing my memoir about my relationship with my mother. I will update once I have a release date for the book. Thank you! (I also have a podcast for kids and parents called Once Upon an Upset.)

The words we use affect the way we think.Music is a word.Do we have to use it? Have we always used it?The answer to both these questions is "no."This is not nitpicking on words. Ian Moore is a stand-up comedian in the UK and a husband, father of three boys, farmhand and chutney-maker in France. He is a mod in both walks of life and most of his time is spent travelling grumpily between the two. Comedian, mod and professional grump Ian Moore has had enough. Tired of being unable to park anywhere near his cramped house in a noisy town he doesn’t like, he hatches a plan to move his wife and young son to a remote corner of the Loire Valley in search of serenity and space.

Story0
A smart, engaging investigation of the show that brought real teens to TV My So-Called Life lasted only 19 episodes from 1994 to 1995, but in that time it earned many devoted viewers, including the showrunners who would usher in the teen TV boom of the late ’90s and the new millennium. With its focus on 15-year-old Angela Chase’s search for her identity, MSCL’s realistic representation of adolescence on TV was groundbreaking; without her there would be no Buffy or Felicity, Rory Gilmore or Veronica Mars.
