In 2016, I started driving two-lane roads through small towns all over the United States, looking for vintage movie theaters: movie theaters with just one or two screens, usually built somewhere between 1920 and 1960, and usually in dusty downtowns or rundown suburbs. Eight years later, I’ve documented over two hundred such movie theaters. Some thriving, some abandoned, most just hanging in there. I stop, I take a few pictures, and, if I’m lucky, I hear a story from someone about what that theater means to them, and what that theater means to their town. Join me as I visit eight vintage ...

It's now more than 40 years since 30,000 women joined hands around the perimeter fence of RAF Greenham to protest against the siting of American nuclear weapons on the Common. In this series of five podcasts we hear what those women did next. How their new-found strength led to dramatic life-choices, how their activism forged changes in the law and how their solidarity created a generation of proud feminists.

Story0
This podcast series focuses on the people living on the 6th floor of UC Berkeley's Martinez Commons, more specifically known as the Transfer Living and Learning Community (TLLC). As a member of this community, I have learned that everyone has such unique stories to tell about their journeys to Cal as transfer students. Not everyone has been in school as long or even graduated high school. This series will be divided into 4 episodes where we follow along Phyllis (my roommate), Thien, Roshan, and Francisco and hear them climb to the top as the share how they became a Golden Bear!
