Welcome to Common Prayer, a seasonal podcast that creates space for followers of Jesus to pray together across different times and places. Each episode, we seek to offer a time of space to listen to God, a reflection, and a guided contemplative prayer, that creates space for us to commune with God, together.

Based on the Daily Office from the '28 and '79 Book of Common Prayer, this podcast is a modified Office of Readings for the Sundays, Feasts, Commemorations and Ferias of the Church Year. Each podcast includes a Psalter portion, a Scripture Lesson, and either a brief Sermon or Homily, or a Hagiography; and concludes with the Lord's Prayer and the Collect(s) for the Day or Season.

I have struggled for years to cultivate a practice around Morning and Evening Prayer. A friend recently introduced me to an app for Lectio Divina that I have greatly enjoyed. Yet, something still felt like it was missing from my spiritual life as an Anglican Christian. As such, I am now attempting to create that something. My goal is to provide Morning and Evening prayer recordings complete with lectionary readings - eventually for each day. As I am married to an Anglican Priest, I have also left room for the occasional off-shoot episode. Much love and much peace, Megan.
