Zoey Rivers has an unusual job. Her mission: Discover the source of weaponized demons being trafficked through the quaint school on the border of Minnesota and Wisconsin, and to locate her predecessor, the school’s missing History of Magic professor.

Until a dead body is found in the pool. When the victim turns out to be the unpopular director of senior living, Cleo is named acting director.
