As if Laney didn’t have enough fires to put out, she also discovers that there are questions about the full ownership of the tea room.

Tea Room owner and reluctant amateur sleuth Laney Powers decides to enjoy some of the natural beauty of Vermont and travels to a popular nearby hiking spot. She runs into the Mayor of Iberden, Raymond Andrews, who decides to join her on the hike, and knowing that there’s safety in numbers, Laney is glad for the company. The hike turns into a murder investigation when they make a gruesome discovery on the trail.
