Dominic's family is house hunting, and he is not excited about the prospect of moving. Still, when the family of three looks at a large Victorian home, Dominic is intrigued and starts to explore it on his own. Before long, he meets what can only be described as a ghost!

'When you come to the house, you will hear strange tales. They will tell you in the village that it is haunted, but you must not be afraid. When the time comes ... you will know what to do.' Mr Blunden's words echoed through Lucy's ears as she explored the house. It was such an old house that it seemed to Lucy as if all the past was gathered up inside it as if in a great box; as though it had a life of its own that continued to exist just beyond the reach of her eyes and ears.

Der erste Tag an Nicos neuer Schule wird für ihn zu einer Herausforderung. Sein Rivale Pauli und seine Crew haben es auf Nico abgesehen. Zum Glück helfen Nico seine drolligen neuen Freunde Truschel und Benito mit ihren Geisterkräften. Ein Mädchen aus Syrien, Jamila, beeindruckt Nico sehr und dann gibt es auch noch eine Gartenparty für die ganze Klasse.

Nico hat gleich zwei neue Freunde gefunden und diese machen Nico nun mit ihrer geheimnisvollen, magischen Welt bekannt und nehmen ihn mit auf eine geisterhafte Zeitreise. Auch erfährt er vieles über seine Vorfahren und den alten Baron von Löwenberg. Dabei lernt Nico Dinge kennen, die er nicht für möglich gehalten hätte.

Nico Löwenberg (11 J) muss umziehen. Er hat null Bock darauf, aber sein Vater hat geerbt: die Villa Löwenberg. Nico ist sehr traurig wegen seiner Freunde und Oma und Opa, die er in Heilbronn zurücklassen muss. Was er nicht weiß, ist, dass es in der alten Villa spukt und er ganz schnell neue Freunde finden wird, und zwar Freunde der besonderen Art. Und überhaupt ist da im hohen Norden jede Menge los.
