Under the pseudonym of Lewis Carroll, Charles Lutwidge Dodson (1832-1898), published Alice's Adventures in Wonderland in 1865. Charles Dodgson was a brilliant and accomplished man. He was a mathematics teacher at Oxford for most of his career. He published several mathematics books as well as novels and poems. Dodgson was also a professional photographer and avid inventor.

Alice is back in her room, stroking her cats, but not for long. Slipping through the looking-glass, she meets another wild collection of fantasy characters, including the Red and White kings and queens, and Tweedledum and Tweedledee, and she is entertained by the poems "Jabberwocky" and "The Walrus and the Carpenter".
