Through Marisa's trance channeling and Joe's endless questions from the other side, they were able to interview the eight authors of the New Testament and assemble the Bible Speaks series. Marisa and Joe originally combined the authors' accounts into one audiobook. When they reviewed the audiobook in session with the other side to make sure that the information was correct, while also seeking additional comments from the authors - Jesus, who frequently interceded throughout the interviews, suggested that they break it up into four audiobooks instead.
