Political Dissonance is an unapologetic podcast of resistance, one that analyzes systems of oppression, and the interplay of capitalism, racism, imperialism, and colonization. We reject these systems of conquest, extraction, exploitation, and domination, and explore other ways of being. Please join us the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month to meet with artists, activists, organizers, poets, teachers, and revolutionaries. We will struggle with one another. Kambodscha, Vietnam, Sahara, Ruanda – vierzig Jahre lang war Flavio Del Ponte als Chirurg weltweit mit dem Leid des Krieges konfrontiert. Heute blickt er in den Rückspiegel und sieht sich selbst als jungen, hoffnungsvollen Arzt, der um die Welt reist und als Kriegschirurg endet. Fast bemerkt er nicht, dass er während dieser Zeit seinen Beruf und die Rollen, die ihm angeboten werden, wechselt: militärisch, politisch, als Diplomat im Stab des UN-Generalsekretärs und nicht zuletzt als humanitärer Helfer. Aber im Herzen blieb er immer ein Arzt mit der fixen Idee, den Leidenden zu helfen.
