"Duffy's Tavern" was a popular American radio comedy series that aired from 1941 to 1951 for a total of 10 years. The program often billed itself with the catchphrase, "Duffy's Tavern, where the elite meet to eat." However, the humorous twist was that Duffy, the owner, was never actually seen or heard.
