Herbert George Wells (21 September 1866 - 13 August 1946) was an English writer. MY FIRST FLIGHT: (EASTBOURNE, August 5, 1912-three years later.) Hitherto my only flights have been flights of imagination but this morning I flew. I spent about ten or fifteen minutes in the air; we went out to sea, soared up, came back over the land, circled higher, planed steeply down to the water, and I landed with the conviction that I had had only the foretaste of a great store of hitherto unsuspected pleasures.

When the hot single dad next door asks me to babysit one morning in a pinch, I figure I can help him out temporarily. I'm supposed to be the resident baby expert at RockYourBaby, after all. Unfortunately, behind the computer monitor, my entire life is one big, fat lie. It's my late mother who was the baby whisperer and I'm simply trying to keep her online baby business afloat until we can sell it to the highest bidder.

Commander Mariucci and his hand-picked research team know they will have to muster all of their expertise, creativity and teamwork to survive the very harshest of conditions in orbit around the king of planets. But when they intercept a peculiar radio transmission, they have to investigate. Nothing should work in these impossible conditions, so what is sending the signal...and why? With a degrading ship and crew at breaking point, there's every chance they will tear themselves apart before they ever find the answer to the ultimate question.

In the far future the ruler of the world is losing as the rebels fight their way into his palace. He retreats upwards to the room where his newly developed time machine sits waiting. His plan is to jump back in time to recruit an unstoppable army which he’ll use to take back the entire world. Of course, plans don’t always come off without a hitch.
