George Forsdike ran a nursery garden at Shrublands, Suffolk, England for nearly 50 years, specialising in chrysanthemums and other cut flowers that he sent to Covent Garden to sell. Shrublands changed from a country manor house to a health farm, where many famous people came to rest and recuperate.
