Il allait chantant les gueux des villes et des champs, dans son jargon savoureux, avec son inimitable accent du terroir. Il flagellait les tartufferies, magnifiait les misères, pleurait sur les reprouvés et sonnait le tocsin des révoltes. "Un grand poète" du début du XXème siècle.
