Set against the colourful boho backdrop of London's Camden in the 1990s, Craig Revel Horwood's first novel, Dances and Dreams on Diamond Street, tells the story of an unlikely family of friends who each rent a room in a ramshackle six-bedroom, four-storey townhouse. Like any family, the residents of Diamond Street sometimes fight and often act up, but when the chips are down, they're there for each other in an instant - usually brandishing a cheap bottle of booze and the offer of an impromptu kitchen disco.

Condensing a full-length film story into a twenty-two-minute radio play presented considerable challenges to the writers (in 1950-51, the series was expanded to a full hour). Broadcast from 1939 until 1952 for sponsors Gulf Oil, Lady Esther Cosmetics, and Camel Cigarettes, nearly every major Hollywood star made an appearance, including Frank Sinatra, Humphrey Bogart, Joan Crawford, and more.

An Audio Archive special feature presentation of one of the greatest and most beloved Christmas stories: Miracle on 34th Street. This is the classic movie condensed and performed live as a one-hour radio play by The Lux Radio Theater in 1948. Alfie was originally a radio show, then a stage play, and finally a book by the talented writer Bill Naughton before the character was immortalised by Michael Caine and then Jude Law on the screen. With an overwhelming desire for the opposite sex, Alfie cannot resist as many as three "birds" on one night. But underneath the surface fun and humour, consequences unfurl, and Naughton paints Alfie as ultimately a sad figure, unable to find "peace of mind, and if you haven't got that, you've got nothing".
