Das Hörbuch zur Geschichte der Donots. April 1994: Fünf Schulfreunde spielen mit ihrer Band namens Donots in einem Ibbenbürener Jugendzentrum namens Scheune ihr erstes Konzert. Aus Langeweile, weil einem in der westfälischen Provinz kaum etwas anderes übrig bleibt, als eine Band zu gründen. Aus Leidenschaft für die Musik, weil Bad Religion, Nirvana oder The Clash ihnen vorgemacht haben, wie weit man es mit dreieinhalb Akkorden bringen kann. Und weil die Punkrock-Ideale, der politische und ethische Überbau sowie das Do-it-yourself-Credo in den Teenagern etwas entzünden, das nicht so leicht zu löschen ist.

Im Januar 2020 las Thees Uhlmann aus seinem Buch Die Toten Hosen im ausverkauften Düsseldorfer Savoy-Theater.
