I start all of my true crime books with a quick word of warning. Most news articles and television true crime shows skim over the vile details of truly horrible crimes. In my books, I don’t gloss over the facts, regardless of how disgusting they may be. I try to give my listeners a clear and accurate description on just how demented the killers really were. I do my best not to leave anything out. The stories included in these books are not for the squeamish.

For over two decades it's been public knowledge that there has been an ongoing problem with immigrant grooming gangs in the UK. Unfortunately, the prevailing "political correctness" and fear of being labelled "racist" caused social services, police, the court system, press, and politicians to dodge the issue, even going so far as labelling the victims as child-prostitutes and blaming them for their own abuse. Countless government reports and reviews over those decades were carried out, but successively the recommendations were ignored, side-lined, or defunded over time.

Childhood sexual abuse (or child sexual abuse/CSA) is not only an assault on the body—it is an assault on the mind and on the spirit. It is an insult to the victim’s integrity, her self-esteem, his very being. Besides imposing a significantly higher risk of conditions like depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), sexual exploitation, intimate partner violence, suicidality, substance abuse, and learning & educational difficulties, the most devastating consequence of childhood sexual abuse is shame.
