The story of Richard Mahony, a doctor trained in Edinburgh who comes to Ballarat in the gold rush of the 1850s. At first he runs a shop but later he marries and returns to medical practice. Handel's Water Music is a collection of short orchestral pieces composed to serenade King George I of England during a boating party on the Thames river in 1717. The music is grouped into three suites, each featuring different instrumental colors and having its own distinct character. The individual movements that comprise these suites include overtures, fanfares, instrumental arias, and dances.

This is a simple yet beautiful piece that is typically performed with an orchestra. This arrangement captures all of the emotion of the largo without adding any undo difficulty. This lesson starts with a full demonstration of the largo followed by a detailed, all-audio lesson teaching the entire song without music, print, or video. When you learn “by ear”, you learn faster and you memorize the piece while learning it.
