Health visiting is one of those professions that most people think is a bit of a non-job. 'You just sit on sofas and drink tea, don't you? It's not like you're a real nurse, in hospital.' Well, health visitors are real nurses, with at least three years' training, and they are out there, on their own. No back-up team or support structures to call for help if they're in a dicey situation. No warm lights, tea breaks spent chatting in the canteen, nobody else to ask, 'is this okay, what do you think?'

Handle with CARE: Cancer & Beyond is a podcast that gives both women AND men a place to come and keep it REAL about their Cancer experience.  Stage III Breast Cancer Survivor and Co-Founder of the CARE Project, Inc., Carrie Madrid, will be hosting this one of a kind show along with Chris Donovan from This Is Funner, to help you connect with others who have been there, done that and may offer you a fresh perspective. 

We are Hannah and Lydia, longtime friends who have connected over our dedication to the hard work of healing, growing, and being human. Our conversations of both struggles and accomplishments that come from the work we are doing have given us the endurance we need to keep going. We don't know where we would be if we weren't celebrating and supporting each other through all the ups and downs, so we want to share that with you.
