When she was suddenly given the opportunity of a new life in rural Jutland, journalist and archetypal Londoner Helen Russell discovered a startling statistic: the happiest place on earth isn't Disneyland but Denmark, a land often thought of by foreigners as consisting entirely of long, dark winters, cured herring, Lego and pastries. About loneliness, connection, and sunburn.

In May 2022, six women flew to Zambia for the trip of a lifetime. They were a diverse bunch which included two GPs, a retired administrator, a former judge and an audio describer but they all had one thing in common.......they had been in class 5F at Wycombe High School in the 1970s. The purpose of the trip was to visit their former classmate Anna, founder of the wildlife education charity 'Chipembele'. But visiting Anna was only part of the adventure as ‘the girls’ rekindled old friendships and discovered things in Zambia that tourists don’t usually see.
