With an eye on profits, Starfire Security CEO Tidus figured his company's stock would go up if he had two Humans on the payroll. What he didn't count on was all the added collateral damage. After all, that's what Humans are known for, breaking stuff...lots of stuff. And who do you think draws the short straw to train the new Human bounty hunter? None other than the original Human for Hire, Adam Cain.

This wasn't like Adam Cain—AKA: The Human for Hire. He wasn't supposed to be compassionate and caring. But for some reason, he'd taken the former Third-Generation Human John Martinez under his wing and was now determined to show him what the real Human race was all about. As a 3G, Martinez had been raised by the Klin to believe a completely false narrative about his native race. But having never been to Earth—and after only a few tragic encounters with other Humans—what was Martinez to believe?

After his last two jobs left him broke and in debt, The Human for Hire is looking for a way to make some quick cash. And that's when three Human friends from his past show up, offering him a piece of the action in an upcoming bank robbery. At first, he says no. But then the details come out. It's behind enemy lines . . . and it's a Klin bank they'd be robbing. As Adam Cain says, "This could be the perfect crime." Adam Cain had had worse days, but at the moment, he couldn't remember when. And when the native judge slammed an oblong stone on the podium before him, signaling an end to the fifteen-minute trial and sentencing, Adam felt a tingle run down his spine. It was going to take all his skill, experience—and luck—to get out of this one. And his latest challenge was just beginning. But Adam wasn't about to let the situation get the best of him. Yeah, you know what happens: Adam looks in the package! Now meet Siri, a sexy, feline-like mutant whose special powers have made her the target of the two most powerful warlords on the planet Ellios.

Normally, it doesn't take a lot to p--s off Adam Cain (AKA: The Human). That's why 'Collateral Damage' is his middle name. But occasionally, something happens that pushes him over the edge. And in that case, there isn't a place in the galaxy where you're safe. In I Am Entropy, Adam brings chaos to order, an order that never should have existed in the first place. All pretense of civility is gone. And now the damage isn't so much collateral as it is intentional. Worlds will crumble when Entropy knocks on the door.

All The Human had to do was turn over his latest bounty to the local authorities and collect his fee. But when it turns out that no one in the galaxy wants to take possession of the criminal, Adam is left with no choice but to transport him a quarter of the way across the galaxy, from the renegade planet Sinalus to Unidor Security's headquarters on Tactori. The problem . . . it seems everybody and their brother are trying to stop him from completing his mission, both the good guys and the bad guys. What do they know that The Human doesn't?

More than a year after she helped save the world from the Sparnaxian invasion, Andrea Vernon is in a good place. Her boss is giving her greater responsibility and she’s getting to travel a lot (although her fill-in is hopeless at making coffee); things could be getting even more serious with her 8’ 4” superhero boyfriend, The Big Axe; and she has a really fun new BFF, Never More. Small issue, though, with that last item - Never More is a supervillain bent on world domination, and it looks as if nothing can stop her.

Humans - there's no understanding them, and no dealing with them either. Or even their planet. Pity the poor aliens, whose shape-changing ability should let them take over the planet Earth before the humans even know they're there - if it weren't for all that omnipresent pollution. Or consider another set of invaders, from a planet where the weather is always mild and the changing of the seasons is hardly noticeable. They land in force; their weapons more powerful than those of the primitive humans, but they've never had to deal with below-zero temperatures, flash floods, or tornadoes.

Adam Cain: Bounty Hunter, Mercenary, Bodyguard. In his line of work, Adam makes a lot of enemies. The problem: Enemies have long memories. And when someone comes after Adam seeking revenge for his past deeds, things get a little dicey. The problem for Adam's enemies: They're going up against The Human. And because of that, Adam has only one question for them: "Do you feel lucky? Well, do you, punk?" That's right. Adam isn't your ordinary target, and now it's a game of back and forth between the hunter and the hunted, with the roles changing in rapid-fire succession.
