This story is told by Eric Johnston, who started his final year at Miami University as a homeless student, just to be rescued by someone, whom he met as a stranger, a Visiting Professor from Trinidad & Tobago. Becoming the “son” of this new Faculty member, he is able to reestablish on a deeper level, a mutually beneficial bond with his best friend Michael Ceasar, find and cherish a romance with Graduate Student Gwendolyn Peters, and receive pastoral guidance from a young Father Charles Barkley of the local Episcopalian Church.
