As a reward for saving Princess Kalliopy, Kevin ends up in the hands of pirates, who have nefarious plans for his future. Things look bleak, and his options are few. Meanwhile, Boomer is mad at the princess for delivering Kevin to the enemy, and when an old foe comes into the picture, he has no other choice but to team up with her to mount a mission to rescue Kevin. Kevin is forced to do horrible deeds while he bides his time hoping to escape his predicament. His friends are determined to get him out of Dodge, but the rescue mission is more complicated than it first appears.

Lieutenant Gregor Popov is on trial for his efforts along with Heavy Metal to save the Russian scientists. Will they go after Sal, Madigan, and Courtney next? Will Popov get a light sentence or something worse? Savage has been tasked with an operation hidden from everyone. Unfortunately, the operation requires him to work with Molina. To make a deal, Courtney must request help. This time, nothing is taken for granted except the ZOO will do what it always does: kill people.

The story continues; our heroes have made it to Eden, only to realize their new home is one of many Earths. It's a world worth fighting for, but they aren't the only people who think so. Coexistence and peace are alien concepts to a new enemy that doesn't have a word for retreat.
