Sisters Mia, Hazel, and Teyona enter the world of corporate scamming, intentionally planning to ruin the lives of those who flipped theirs upside down. While risking it all, the consequences of their actions are the last thing on their minds—only the end goal. They take the “lavish lifestyle” to the extreme and refuse to look back. When their priorities become unaligned, propositions present themselves, making it difficult for them to decline. Much like The Lux Radio Theater, The Screen Guild Players presented radio dramatizations of popular movies of the era, usually with the original film stars at the microphone. Condensing a full-length film story into a twenty-two-minute radio play presented considerable challenges to the writers (in 1950-51, the series was expanded to a full hour). Broadcast from 1939 until 1952 for sponsors Gulf Oil, Lady Esther Cosmetics, and Camel Cigarettes, nearly every major Hollywood star made an appearance, including Frank Sinatra, Humphrey Bogart, Joan Crawford, and more.

Father Peyton of the Holy Cross Fathers wanted to inspire his country with a radio program. Footing the expense of the show himself, he arranged for some of the biggest names in radio and film to donate their services, and for a network to provide the broadcast time. The series that resulted featured heartwarming stories for audiences nationwide. The commercial breaks were filled only with an earnest, non-sectarian appeal for family prayer, reminding listeners that "The family that prays together stays together."
