Dak Hamee is a unique Hork-Bajir. His people call him a seer. He learns more quickly and completely than the rest of his docile race. Hork-Bajir like him are born once a generation. Aldrea is a young Andalite. Daughter of the notorious Prince Seerow. It is only after she and her family are sent to the Hork-Bajirhome world that she begins to fight the Yeerks—and, with Dak's help, ultimately discovers their hideous plan. Esplin 9466 is the Yeerk that will become the feared Visser Three. He has set out to defeat the Hork-Bajir, and begin the building of the Yeerk Empire.

The Yeerks are finally starting to realize that the "Andalite bandits" are probably not aliens at all. That maybe they've been dealing with humans all along. And no one -- especially the newly appointed Visser One -- is happy about this revelation. When Tobias and the other Animorphs realize that the Yeerks are about to find them, it's by accident. But that doesn't make the discovery any less serious. Because in a war, one side wins and one side loses...

Really big trouble is an understatement these days. The war with the Yeerks is full on -- and it's definitely going to get worse. But Cassie and the other Animorphs have a lot more going on than just trying to stay alive. Now they've got to actively protect their families and the free Hork-Bajir. The Animorphs have one true ally in their battle against the Yeerks: the sentient androids known as the Chee. So when they discover that the Chee—including their friend Erek—are in trouble, they have no choice but to help. But the Chee's problem is much deeper than anything the kids could have imagined. It's hidden in the ocean. So far down that no human has ever travelled there and survived. The Animorphs realize what will happen if Visser Three discovers the valuable secrets of the Chee. One of which is the existence of the Animorphs.

The Yeerks have decided to try a little experiment. They've decided that if they can develop a way to make people more "willing" to be infested, they can speed up Earth's invasion. So the Yeerks try to invent a substance that will take away the human ability to make a decision. A substance that will eliminate free will. Now the Animorphs are not only faced with trying to slow down the Yeerks' invasion, but they also have to put an end to the genetic testing on a small group of humans. This time there's only one chance to stop the Yeerks. And if anything goes wrong, it's all over.

What would have happened if the Animorphs had never existed? If Jake and the others had taken the long way home from the mall that night, instead of cutting through the abandoned construction site? If they'd never met Elfangor. Never rescued Ax. Never heard of the Yeerks.... Jake's finally weakened. After one particularly grisly battle, the Drode hits him when he's down and offers the Animorphs' leader an escape from the terrifying pressure. He'll take Jake back to the mall and reverse the decision that started the Animorphs. It's an offer Jake's too tired to refuse.

Marco and the other Animorphs have managed to find out where the Yeerks are planning to build their next ground-based Kandrona. That's a good thing. But the location is supposed to be somewhere near the North Pole. That's a bad thing. The Animorphs know that the Yeerks are a "cold-blooded" species, but this is a little nuts! Who wants to be near the North Pole without Arctic morphs - and wearing spandex?

Yeerk ships are pouring in from all ends of the galaxy—this is it. What will be the climactic, awful battle the Animorphs have been waiting for. Rachel has always been prepared for all out war, perhaps a little too ready. The President of the United States is a Controller, so the Animorphs have to rally their own military force. They succeed. Five thousand troops will fight against the seemingly endless onslaught of Yeerks. And this time, there will be no compromise. No half way. It's all out war for the Animorphs. It's Rachel's moment.
