It's nearly Cockenzie Rood Day and Prince Albion wants a grand celebration. But his plans are ruined when he is kidnapped by the terrifying zombie Fiddleduster Squint, who wants to get into the Five Kingdoms. When Squint is refused entry across the magical border he and his creepy shadow go in search of giants with the intention of tricking them into causing all sorts of mayhem. It's a race against time but Gracie Gillypot, Prince Marcus and Gubble the troll manage to get there first and avert disaster.

Monotonia is the humdrum kingdom surrounded by potato fields that Princess Claria calls home. Poor Claria is fated to marry one of her brainless cousins and live a dull life. She decides to take matters into her own hands.

Claria is featured in three tales. In "Princess Claria's Choice", Claria finds a suitor who can show her the entire world in one hour. In "Betrayal at the Palace", Claria's evil sister tries to steal the throne. In "A Princess Disappears", Claria rescues her daughter from an island tower.

So vergesslich: Der kleine König ist in letzter Zeit total konfus. Er vergisst alles und bringt nichts zu Ende. Jeden Trick probiert er aus und damit bekommt er nach und nach das Wesentliche in den Griff. Jedoch manchmal.

"Das EINhörnchen": EICHhorn Buschel verliebt sich in das Plüsch-EINhorn der kleinen Prinzessin. Das ist sooo kuschelig, dass er es nicht mehr hergeben will. Er entführt es kurzerhand auf den höchsten Baum, wo Ein- und Eichhörnchen engumschlungen auf die Königskinder herabschauen. Was nun? "Der Pustekuchen": Der Erzähler mahnt zur Ordnung und unterstützt das mit vielen Floskeln und Redewendungen. Der kleine König ist genervt und bezweifelt, dass es Wörter wie Krimskrams, Tohuwabohu und andere überhaupt gibt. Da er eine Idee. Und schlägt mit gleichen Waffen zurück.
