Lockdown Stories 2020 - under the first lockdown in the spring of 2020 I created a series of 150 portraits, that depicted a selection of essential workers and residents mainly confined indoors in and around Folkestone, Kent. You can view a selection of portraits from this project on this link: https://zakwaters.com/Lockdown (Best viewed from a computer.) These audio recordings are an ongoing documentation of the residents and workers I photographed. Through Lockdown 2 Legacy I am striving to make a change in the community through mentorship, consulting, and advocacy. This is series about the sounds of lockdown - the sounds we can hear, the sounds we miss, the sounds that are new and the sounds that are old. Each episode features people in lockdown considering the sounds around them - including the sounds that they want to come back, and maybe some they don't. Made by Nina Longfellow (producer, writer, editor) and Liz Giuffre (exec producer) - recorded and created on Aboriginal land, land that was never ceded.
