Durante una gita in montagna una ragazza scompare. I carabinieri seguono la pista di un rapimento, mentre il fidanzato è convinto che la sparizione di Francesca sia opera di un essere soprannaturale che infesta i boschi. Insieme all'amico Stefano, Guido inizia la ricerca della fidanzata per conto proprio mentre misteriosi eventi sconvolgono la sua quotidianità. L'arrivo di un uomo dal passato oscuro getta altre ombre sulla vicenda.
