Labienus hat den Plan, das Vertrauen der Bevölkerung Lutetias zu gewinnen, deshalb stellt er den Einbrecher Stupidix an, der überall Dinge stiehlt. Die lässt Labienus dann am nächsten Tag den Lutetianern großzügig zurückgeben, doch haben die Unbeugsamen diesen Plan durchschaut.

Labienus sieht das als schlechtes Omen und gibt den Galliern alles wieder zurück.

Zoff auf dem Forum. Wegen einer Nichtigkeit geraten Idefix und Dertutnix in Streit. Idefix zieht sich zurück, weil er meint, Dertutnix brauche ihn ja wohl nicht mehr. Monalisa ärgert sich darüber, dass Zerberus und seine Beagles die Unbeugsamen nicht fangen können und denkt sich eine List aus. Alle tun so, als wären die Freunde der Gallier, locken irgendwann Dertutnix in eine Würstchenfalle auf dem riesigen Marktplatz, dem Bauernforum. Doch schon sind bei Idefix und Dertutnix alle Streitereien vergessen.
