After I bled out, she “volunteered” me for Project Angel, a top-secret program determined to revive KIAs with alien tech. I became their first success. Fast-forward to Armageddon: Demons are everywhere. Bodies even more so. After some intense fighting, we’ve reached the hospital where she worked. The place looks grim, but I’m not about to stop searching for the angel who saved my life.

We always knew in the back of our minds that we'd have to use them on our own world if we were to save it, but I still can't get around the fact we vaporized D.C. to keep the demons at bay. Il Cinno e il Gasato sono due mezzi sopravvissuti: "ultimo dei bolognesi" l’uno, mutante di Riccione l’altro, costituiscono il perfetto filtro per narrare un mondo stravolto in cui la mitologia è costituita ormai dalle icone pop della nostra epoca.

Judith "Jack" Chen è una vera e propria scienziata-pirata: la sua base operativa è un sottomarino, la sua missione piratare costosi farmaci e produrne delle alternative a basso costo, accessibili a tutti. Una sorta di Robin Hood in un mondo dominato dalle case farmaceutiche. Eppure, qualcosa è andato storto con la sua ultima partita di Zacuity: coloro che ne hanno fatto uso, sono andati incontro a effetti collaterali imprevisti, ridotti a veri e propri automi costretti ad azioni meccaniche e ripetitive che conducono la mente alla follia.
