Story1
This is a book about discovering the secret to all the things we most desire: contentment, meaning, peace of mind, and true freedom. This skillfully edited translation of selections from the writings of Meister Eckhart (c. 1260-1328) provides a road map to the spiritual life for contemporary seekers. Eckhart takes us on a journey of discovery, a journey in which we learn to let go, relinquish our need to know everything, and lose those things that we think are important for a life of worth. And in the end he shows us that the true secret is: to find yourself, you must lose yourself.

How Are You? I Am Alive Blessed and Challenged! is not just a collection of poetry—it’s a declaration. A scream. A whisper. A hand reaching out from the wreckage and saying, I’m still here. Sharliene Phillips shares her story through unfiltered, gut-honest verse—tackling trauma, abuse, anxiety, healing, sexuality, depression, survival, and everything in between. These poems carry scars and strength, tears and laughter, rage and resilience. Whether you’ve lived it, survived it, or are still fighting through it, this book offers a mirror, a light, and a voice that refuses to stay silent.

Ernest McMillan began writing essays and short stories in earnest while imprisoned for his work as a Civil Rights activist. Ranging from commentaries on society to short stories and poetry, these pieces reflect the experiences of a fugitive, revolutionary spirit. This collection of poetry and short stories exists in tandem with Standing, a memoir of McMillan's experiences as a human rights activist. From the particular to the universal, Kneeling meditates on how precious and invaluable it is to sit still, to reflect, and go to one’s interior and feast on what truly matters.

Story0
Meister Eckhart (1260-1328) was a priest, a mystic, and nearly a heretic (he died before the Church court's verdict). In the 20th century, the Roman Catholic Church rehabilitated him and the late Pope John Paul II spoke of his work with fondness. However, what makes him of particular interest is the fact that he has influenced a wide range of spiritual teachers and mystics both inside and outside the Christian tradition. Erich Fromm, Eckhart Tolle, Richard Rohr, D. T. Suzuki, and Rudolf Steiner have all credited Eckhart as being an important influence on their thought.
