Riley Oh wasn't born into her family. Instead, as she recently discovered, she tumbled down to the earth many years ago as the last fallen star. Riley Oh also wasn't born to be a witch. It's Jessie's birthday, so her magical grandmother decides to surprise her - with some new Fairy Realm friends. Before Jessie knows it, she's on an adventure that whirls her to the end of a rainbow. Along the way, she discovers a part of the Realm she's never seen before - and meets the amazing rainbow fairies.

When their beloved home comes under siege, the Wherewithal crew flee through the portal to the Realm of Fae. Behind the walls of the Faerie Market, they search for ways to stop the increasingly powerful Red Cap from achieving Realms-wide domination. But Red Cap's army is growing stronger. Old and new enemies are rising, the Realms are in disarray, and Celeste's powers are gone—maybe for good. With a battle on the horizon, and the lives of all those she loves at risk, Celeste will require every bit of cleverness and cunning she has picked up from the Realms for this last fight.

It is Henry's third visit to the Faerie Realm, but this time in a rather different guise and to a rather different kind of place. Holly Blue is Queen and Lord Hairstreak appears to be proposing a truce between the Faeries of the Night and the Faeries of the Light. Meanwhile, Prince Pyrgus has stumbled across some mysterious crystal flowers with an apparently formidable secret weapon, and there are rumours of a demon invasion led by Beleth, the Prince of Darkness.

Prisoners of the dark sorceress Ashnakh, friends Kiri, Alish, Elio, and Thanis are taken to the forbidding Palace of Mirrors in the Realm of Shyish to await their fate. Trapped in the Shatterglass Labyrinth they must band together to survive. Betrayed by someone who they thought they could trust and harried by dreaded Nighthaunts, will they ever escape the Fortress of Ghosts?

Dorothy travels to the Emerald City with new friends the Shaggy man, Button-Bright, and Polychrome, with requests for invitations to Princess Ozma's birthday party. Among the party's guests are some familiar faces, including Santa Claus.

Are there such things as fairies and gnomes? Leprechauns and elves? Most people, including Adam, would say no. But one day a whole herd of magical creatures invades Spooksville.
