Zusammen mit dem SWAT-Team, einer speziellen Polizei-Einsatztruppe, verfolgen die Playmos einen Diamanten-Dieb. Doch dem gelingt es immer wieder, auf unerklärliche Weise zu entwischen. Die Spur führt um die halbe Welt, von Russland bis nach Brasilien. Nach und nach kommen Emil, Liv und Sam hinter sein Geheimnis, bis ihr Papagei Captain Tolle schließlich den entscheidenden Hinweis liefert.

Eine gemeine Bande von Dieben nutzt den Hafen, um geklaute Kunstwerke außer Landes zu schaffen. Da Zollmitarbeiterin Luise keiner glaubt, helfen ihr die Playmos, den Gangstern auf die Schliche zu kommen. Als sich Emil, Liv und Sam in einem Container auf einem Containerschiff wiederfinden, treffen sie dort nicht nur auf Luise, sondern auch auf den Drahtzieher hinter den Schmugglern.
