Der Eigentümer des Pachtgrundstücks will ihn vertreiben, um einen Hotelkomplex darauf zu errichten. Um sein Ziel zu erreichen, schreckt er vor kaum etwas zurück.

Fenja liebt ihren Job als Wattführerin und das Leben in Burhave. Nach der Trennung von ihrem Freund lebt sie mit Esel Max und Minischwein Moritz allerdings wieder bei ihrer Mutter in der Pension. Das war so nicht geplant und ist bisweilen recht turbulent. Umso größer ist Fenjas Freude, als sie am Ortsrand ein kleines Haus findet. Doch statt der erhofften Ruhe geht das Chaos nun erst richtig los. Die Renovierung des Häuschens kostet viel Zeit und ein neuer Wattführer beginnt schlecht über Fenja zu reden und ihr die Kunden zu vergraulen.
