Night Terror, the greatest villain Starlight City has ever known, finally had it all. A beautiful girl she couldn’t get enough of. The city finally sort of liked her after she saved it from a giant robot attack. Now it was time to live happily ever after, right? Yeah, right. It turns out saving the city and getting the girl was only the beginning of more trouble. She wanted to be Starlight City's villainous overlord, not the city's heroic savior. Wraith has vanished for a year. When she finally returns to New Orleans, the criminals are back to "business as usual". Without ISO-1 to control the area, the Russian mob-otherwise known as the Vory-has moved in and taken over the city. Literally. Now, Madi, Krisan, and her other allies must battle the supervillains of the Vory and the misguided superhero, Seraph, while also protecting a family the Vory have kidnapped from Argentina. With everyone trying to kill her, Madi needs to be more than a vigilante - she needs to become the top of the Big Easy's food chain.

Madisun Dumas, a.k.a. The Wraith, is close to achieving her goals. She faked her own incarceration, so now the government will leave her alone. She wiped out ISO-1 in South America and added their top man to her kill list...then she found out who was really in charge. An honest-to-God alien. Taking on aliens is outside her wheelhouse and she knows it. There is only one person on Earth who can help her: Amelia Lockheart, the Full Metal Superhero. There's a problem, though. Compared to Madi, Arsenal is a goody-two-shoes, and working with her could cause a conflict Madisun doesn't want.

Madisun Dumas is on a roll. She kicked ISO-1 out of Detroit and then New Orleans. The people who killed her family are six feet under. Now, it's time to go after their bosses, but not everything is as simple as it appears. Something sinister is brewing within ISO-1. Drugs, corruption, and human trafficking are all just a cover for something far more horrific. And Madi is about to land right in the middle. When the entity inside her tells her to trust no one, Madisun really needs to take that advice to heart. If she doesn't, death may not be the worst option.
