Having found myself an adult caregiver to both parents at the same time has proven increasingly difficult. Despite hearing about it and having some education in both Psychology and Nursing, ostensibly in preparation, nothing in our modern Western society and culture can adequately prepare one to be a sole or almost sole caregiver to a parent. Double that for two parents, over the course of years, and with no real end in sight, the stress can become almost unbearable. There are feelings and thoughts that come up which we fear expressing due to judgmentalism, as well as fears of repercussions ...
