In the wake of World War I, Viscountess Snowden embarks on a poignant journey through post-war Europe, aiming to foster goodwill among nations and restore a sense of normalcy as swiftly as possible. A passionate pacifist, socialist, and feminist, Snowden is a figure of controversy, particularly for her staunch opposition to the Bolsheviks. Her insightful observations and bold viewpoints provide a fascinating glimpse into the complexities of Europe in the 1920s. - Summary by Ciufi Galeazzi

The Pilgrim's Progress is one of the most famous classics of literature. It is an allegorical novel, describing a Christian's journey through life to reach heaven. Part 1 was written by John Bunyan in 1679 whilst he was imprisoned for conducting unauthorised religious services, whilst Part 2 was not written until 1684, and is not included in many versions of this text. This recording includes both parts, and inline scripture references.View our entire collection of podcasts at www.solgood.orgAll Librivox recordings are in the public domain
