In Season Two of Powder River, Britt MacMasters has once again put on the badge of United States Marshal and returns to Clearmont, Wyoming after several months away on the trail with his son Chad. There he finds a new Sheriff in town - who doesn't like the idea of a U.S. Marshal living in his jurisdiction but soon calls on the famed Marshal for help when the Sioux attack a stagecoach. A season highlight is a three part episode where General George Custer recruits Chad to scout for him as he heads toward the Little Big Horn, causing Britt to follow in pursuit.

Story0
Radio westerns were aimed at kids until 1952 when Gunsmoke hit the radio airwaves. Produced for adult listeners, the stories were grim, the deaths brutal and life on the plains was harsh. Radio audiences had never heard anything like Gunsmoke and they made it the #1 western on radio. It soon made a successful transition to television becoming the longest-running dramatic series in TV history. Join William Conrad (U.S. Marshal Matt Dillon) in the continuing “story of the violence that moved west with young America and the story of a man who moved with it, Matt Dillon, United States Marshal.”

It's 1875, and Paladin lives at the swanky Carlton Hotel in San Francisco, where he dresses in formal wear, eats gourmet food, attends the opera, has a Chinese valet named Hey Boy, and enjoys the company of beautiful women. When working as a gun for hire, he dresses entirely in black, uses calling cards, and wears a holster decorated with a chess knight emblem—a symbol that refers both to his name and to his occupation as a champion for hire.
