Rory has had a passion for animals for as long as he can remember. He grew up in the countryside surrounded by animals, and it was always his ambition to be a vet. He now works in a busy London practice where his very honest and often emotional relationships with the animals he treats and their owners has made him the relatable and approachable face of veterinary work.

From his Cornish boyhood, Rory recounts his life of birdwatching, observing his first skylark while stoned; his repeatedly failed attempts to get up at the crack of dawn like the real twitchers; and his flawed bid to educate his mate Danny in the ways of birding.
