Immer was los auf Patch Island: Alles könnte so einfach sein. Wäre doch nur Nana nicht krank! Jetzt muss Ruby sich nämlich ganz allein um magische wie nicht-magische Tiernotfälle kümmern. Dann bringt Bri nach einem Ausritt ein Pony vorbei, das unerklärlicherweise eine Beule auf der Stirn bekommen hat. Ruby nimmt es in ihre Obhut, doch plötzlich haben alle Tiere eine solche Beule. Und mit einem Mal stehen ihr eine Einhorn-Katze, ein Einhorn-Igel und … ein richtiges Einhorn gegenüber! Das geht doch nicht mit rechten Dingen zu.
