Die Gattin eines Erfinders auf einem Planeten, wo Kriminalität unbekannt ist, soll überredet werden, den werten Gemahl aus dem Kryo-Schlaf zu wecken. Doch es erwartet sie eine üble Überraschung

Dieses Mal wird Sherlock Holmes von der Union dafür eingesetzt, einen Saboteur auf Alpha Mensae b aufzuspüren. Den dort angesiedelten Menschen wurde nämlich die elektrische Energie geraubt, was sie naturgemäß wütend macht. Mit der Hilfe von Dr. Watson kann der Meisterdetektiv den Schuldigen rasch ermitteln.
