Demon-Hunter Kate Connor is having a very bad month. Her resurrected first husband houses the soul of a demon. Her current husband is being overly attentive to the point of smothering. Her toddler son has entered a tantrum phase. And her teenage daughter is still determined to be the next, best demon slayer. Worse, she's determined to get her learner's permit the day she turns 15. That's a lot for one woman to juggle, even a Demon-Hunter. Add saving the world to the mix, and things are about to get complicated.

Kate Conner has incinerated hordes of demons, slow-danced with the devil, and has even saved the world from certain doom. But now she’s facing her toughest opponent yet: Her teenage daughter, Allie. Allie wants to be a demon hunter just like her mom, and she refuses to take “no” for an answer. That all comes to a head, however, when they must face the truth about Allie’s true nature. Because this teen queen is fifty percent demon hunter, fifty percent demon, and one hundred percent trouble. Uh-oh.

When Hunter Hercules, the biggest soccer star in the Northlands, is transferred to play in the Motherlands, he's mad as hell. Not only is their style of soccer different, but they have mixed teams, and his female captain, Emanuela, calls him unsophisticated and claims that she's a better player than him. The whole thing is ridiculous and infuriating to Hunter. That's why when the soccer club sends all the players on a team-building trip, Hunter shows up determined to put the little woman in her place. It should have been easy, but Emanuela isn't someone he can push around.
