June 1940: Berlin is being bombed. Clara Vine is an Anglo-German woman in a country that hates England. The Propaganda minister, Joseph Goebbels, decides that Clara should adopt a new role as his spy, and so Clara must go to Paris. Clara realises this might be the chance to escape to England. But Goebbels has other ideas and soon Clara is drawn into a web that threatens to destroy her.

Quinn Farrell is a modern-day fixer in Los Angeles. He cleans up other people’s messes - rich people’s messes - for a lot of money. He’s so good that he’s become indispensable to Hollywood moguls, and he’s managed to construct a working moral framework so that he can live with himself. That is, he did until a new neighbor moves in next door, Rose Marie, who works with terminally ill teens. Against all his survival instincts, Farrell falls in love with Rose Marie...and then her uncanny patients, who shine a spotlight into his soul.

Mlle Violet Smith, une cycliste, vient voir Sherlock Holmes pour lui demander de l'aide. En effet, lorsqu'elle fait du vélo sur une route déserte près de chez elle, elle est suivie par un homme barbu, qui s'enfuit dès qu'elle essaye de le voir de plus près. Holmes se charge de l'affaire, et envoie Watson surveiller la route. Mlle Smith risque-t-elle sa vie ? Que peut vouloir cet homme mystérieux ?
