1984年のMacintosh登場から40周年となった本年。そして今年発表された Appleの空間コンピューティング戦略を司る Apple Vision Pro。40年を経た二つの製品、その二つに共通する思想、ビジョンとはどのようなものなのか。

2019年9月に開催されたAppleのスペシャルイベントについて、実際にサービスが始まった内容や、試すことが出来た製品の実機の話などを盛り込みつつ、お馴染の高木利弘氏と大谷和利氏が語り合います。

今回は余暇通信社の山岡禎幸とゲーム戦隊いっぺいのMaeda Saoriが、リモート収録という方法で「コロナとゲームの2020年」をテーマに語り合いました。

コロナ禍の2020年、高木利弘氏と大谷和利氏の対談もいつものスタジオではなく、各自の自宅からZoomで打合せをしつつ、二人の手元のレコーダーで対談の音声を収録するというリモート収録で実施しました。

2019年6月に開催されたAppleの開発者向けイベントWWDC2019は、Mac Proの発表こそあったものの、文字通りソフトウエア開発者向けのものであった。

Appleは2019年3月25日開催のスペシャルイベントにおいて発表された、Apple News+、Apple Arcade、Apple TV+とApple TV Channel、Apple Cardとキャッシュレス等について紹介しつつ、発表内容から今後Appleが目指す方向性を考察し、高木利弘氏と大谷和利氏が語り合いました。

Appleは2016年9月8日iPhone 7およびiPhone 7 Plusを発表。更にApple Watch Series 2や新型ワイヤレスヘッドフォンAirPodsも発表され、同時に日本におけるApple Payの導入とSuica対応も発表された。また10月28日には新型MacBook Proを発表。従来のファンクションキーに代えて、Touch Bar™という、Multi-Touch™ディスプレイを搭載した、新しいインターフェイスが特長である。これらの発表からAppleは今後どう展開していくと考えられるか、高木利弘氏と大谷和利氏が対談しました。

2015年9月10日、Appleは、iPhone 6s、iPhone 6s Plus、iPad Pro などとともに新しいApple TVを発表しました。

2016年6月14日(日本時間)、Appleは開発者を集めてWWDC2016を開催。iOS として史上最大のアップデートとなるiOS 10や、macOS Sierra、 watchOS 3、Swift Playgroundsなどを発表しました。これらの 発表からAppleは今後どう展開していくと考えられるか、高木利弘氏と大谷和利氏が対談しました。

Appleは2018年6月5日開催のWWDC 2018においてMac OS MojaveおよびiOS 12、Watch OS 5を発表。開発者会議の名にふさわしくソフトウエアに焦点を絞った内容でした。今後Appleが目指す方向性を、ユーザーのセキュリティという観点も含めながら高木利弘氏と大谷和利氏が語り合いました。
