Welcome to My Words: Response Exhibition podcasts. A central component of the Museum of Colour's offer is contemporary artists from the global majority, responding to British history. This set of podcasts provides an opportunity to hear the poets describe the approach taken to their responses and at the end, each one shares their poem. These poets had the opportunity to select an item from the Royal Albert Memorial Museum collections and reflect on the impact the item had on them and their poetic imaginations. This series provides an opportunity to meet some of the remarkable poets of colour who have changed the poetic landscape and influenced all the culture that we enjoy today. We bring you voices from the 18th and 19th century through to 2016. We hope that you enjoy their portraits, donations and stories, as much as we have enjoyed collecting them.
