John kommt einer gefährlichen Verschwörung auf die Schliche: Mithilfe von GOOD MOTHER, einer allmächtigen KI mit unbegrenzten Ressourcen, wollen die Drahtzieher hinter DEEP SLEEP ein Zeitalter von Ordnung und Disziplin einläuten und selbst daraus Profit schlagen. Gemeinsam mit dem geheimnisvollen WHISPERER und der Hackerin SNOW WHITE muss John alles daransetzen, den Launch der KI zu verhindern.

Um die Drahtzieher hinter DEEP SLEEP zu stoppen, setzt John im Auftrag des WHISPERERs auf einem Frachtschiff nach Marseille über. Dort hofft er, die legendäre Hackerin SNOW WHITE ausfindig zu machen. Nur sie kann John helfen, die Machenschaften der ehemaligen Geheimoperation auffliegen zu lassen. Doch bereits auf hoher See stößt John auf erbitterten Widerstand. Denn auch ein gegnerischer DEEP SLEEP-Agent hat sich in die Crew des Frachters eingeschleust.
