Non solo, da quello che mangia (e anche da come mangia) si può riconoscere il livello di consapevolezza di una persona. Si può comprendere per esempio il suo livello di rispetto, sensibilità e compassione nei confronti di altre creature, quanto è in grado di considerare la sofferenza altrui alla stregua di una propria sofferenza.
