Die Uhren auf dem Schnuppestern ticken anders. Kein Wunder. Denn ein Tag dauert so lange, bis alle Menschen, Tiere und Aliens, die dort wohnen, einmal mit AAAAAAAAAH-Rufen dran waren. Das hört sich zwar seltsam an, aber irgendwie musste man doch festlegen, wie lange ein Tag zu dauern hat. Schließlich saust der Schnuppestern geradewegs durchs Universum und dreht sich nicht, wie etwa die Erde, um sich selbst und um eine Sonne. An manchen Tagen und Wochen ist es daher so zappenduster wie stockdunkel dort – von den unendlich vielen Sternen einmal abgesehen.

Foxie is on a diet, and Jack has things on his mind. When Auntie Tidge takes delivery of boxes of sausages, Foxie is delighted, until Caterina Smith takes them all away. Foxie is determined that Jack must solve the case of the stolen sausages, but Jack, for once, isn't sure there even is a case. He and Foxie join Lord Red, Auntie Tidge, Sarge, Caterina Smith, Polly, and just about everyone else at the Doggeroo Dog and Sausage Day. There are sausages galore, and plenty of schemes and drooling dogs, but is there really a thief?

Fifteen-year-old Freedom Smith is a born fighter, it's in his gypsy blood. Freedom's no angel, but he's no killer either. When he's falsely accused of murder, the law gives him the chance to prove his worth, by in infiltrating a sinister fight game that's recruiting runaway boys. But what he discovers is something else.
