April 1912 etwa 300 Seemeilen südöstlich von Neufundland seitlich mit einem Eisberg und sank ca. drei Stunden später. Obwohl für die Evakuierung mehr als zwei Stunden Zeit zur Verfügung standen, kamen 1514 der über 2200 an Bord befindlichen Personen ums Leben - hauptsächlich wegen der unzureichenden Zahl an Rettungsbooten und der Unerfahrenheit der Besatzung im Umgang mit diesen.

Sisters Nora and Delia have been given the chance of a lifetime – to escape their poor Irish farm and travel on the Titanic to a new life in America.
